It is best to build your work in one of Lamar Graphics templates as they are the proper size, resolution and scale.

It is critical to understand that small or poor quality images will lose clarity when expanded to billboard size, and low-resolution, grainy or blurry photos can only be enhanced to a certain extent.

To achieve desirable detail and clarity, it is best to scan images @ 300 ppi. At 300 ppi, every inch on the scanner bed is approximately equivalent to 3 feet on a High Res product (1 inches is equivalent to 9 inches on an Ultra High Res product). For example: A 4"x6" photograph scanned @ 300 ppi will provide adequate pixel data to cover 12'x18' on a High Res vinyl. The scale can be adjusted in the scanning software to increase or decrease the necessary pixel data before the final scan is made.

High Res
1. At least 9 ppi at actual size on the product.
2. CMYK (lamarfujipictro profile embedded)

Ultra High Res
Short View (Ex: Transit Shelters, Bus Benches, Banners, etc.)
1. At least 36 ppi at actual size on the product.
2. CMYK (lamarfujipictro profile embedded).

Ultra High Res
Long View (Ex: Billboards, Snipes, etc.)
1. At least 9 ppi at actual size on the product.
2. CMYK (lamarfujipictro profile embedded).

PSD, TIFF, JPEG, EPS or PDF files created in Photoshop preferred.
