iSpot Sports Scores
That's right sports fans, a game data provider is now available for use in iSpots! We have access to the following content: In game/event score updates for MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, NCAA Football, and NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball, NASCAR (SprintCup), and PGA.
What does this mean?
This new data source allows us to put up live sports scores for our customers... any customer!. Live scores for baseball, football, basketball and hockey. Plus leader boards in golf tournaments and NASCAR races! Since these are licensed feeds, any customer can "sponsor" or display these sport scores on their ads!
What can it include?
The charts below lists all the data elements that can be used for each league. This will let you know what can be used on a sports score iSpot. You can display just the teams and scores or get more details and show things like the period/quarter/inning, game clock, overtime, errors, etc.
Things to Keep in Mind
1. Order your iSpots early.
Since the feeds are unique for each game, a new iSpot will be required for every game. Be sure to allot enough time to have the iSpot produced well before game time.
2. Team Logos.
Team names can be used but there are still legal issues when displaying official team logos on paid advertisements. Those rules still apply. You must get written permission to use the offical team logos on an iSpot.
