Brightest/Most Intense Color vs. Color Accuracy
The best way to get the brightest colors possible is to build your design in the LamarFujiPictro profile and adjust the colors as bright as possible on screen while still in CMYK mode. Lamar Graphics' new ink sets and printers allow us to hit MUCH brighter oranges, pinks, greens, purples and blues than ever before. They will not be neon colors by any means but they will be SO much brighter than what was possible before. And the semi gloss nature of the PosterFlex substrate intensifies the colors even more, unlike paper. That's what was really killing those colors a few years ago. You won't need to specify specific colors if you are going for most intense colors over most accurate colors. If you maximize the color in the Fuji gamut, the rip software with maximize it to the printers max colors. It's like shooting from the hip but it will give you the best results when you're after maximum intensity colors.
Rules of thumb for sending print files to Lamar Graphics:
• If you're going for color intensity over accuracy, calibrate your monitor, work in Fuji Pictro and adjust the colors to maximum intensity on screen.
• If you're going for color accuracy, some intensity must be sacrificed for accuracy of color. In this case call out a color and/or send in a color sample to match. This should most likely be the exception to the rule at this point in the printing industry.

Lamar Graphics Hi-Res Vinyl production is set up at a 9ppi scale. Every 9 pixels in the digital file represents one inch on the final product. Each template is saved at a 300ppi resolution, but the scale is set at 9 pixels = 1 inch. The Ultra Hi-Res close view products are set up at size with a resolution of 36ppi. The scale is 1 to 1, every 36 pixels = 1 inch.
See the Resolution section for details.
Our preferred formats are .PSD, .TIF, .JPG, .EPS, and .PDF saved from Photoshop.
