Lamar Graphics is an industry leading Grand Format Vinyl Printer. Our work
flow is designed to produce a high volume of grand format printing accurately,
consistently and efficiently. We offer the ability to work in a completely
color managed environment from concept to production. Providing production
ready artwork means faster production times, more accurate color reproduction,
and fewer surprises.
Lamar Graphic utilizes a U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 CMYK workflow. We advise against working in RGB because of the potential for massive color shifts when converted to the CMYK printing process.
The "Pantone Solid to Process" color book is our recommended color standard. PMS callouts should be indicated in all orders requiring precise spot color matching.
Lamar Graphics Hi-Res Vinyl production is set up at a 9ppi scale. Every 9 pixels in the digital file represents one inch on the final product. Each template is saved at a 300ppi resolution, but the scale is set at 9 pixels = 1 inch. The Ultra Hi-Res close view products are set up at size with a resolution of 36ppi. The scale is 1 to 1, every 36 pixels = 1 inch.
See the Resolution section for details.
Our preferred formats are .PSD, .TIF, .JPG, .EPS, and .PDF saved from Photoshop. We do accept many other formats from the various leading graphics software available in the industry today including Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, InDesign, and Corel. The .PDF format saved from any of the fore mentioned programs are preferred over the native formats. See the File Formats section for the preferred formats and saving instructions.
