Prepress: General Policies

Pricing
Vinyl Pricing is based on a square footage charge calculated on the live area of copy and print resolution requested. Extensions are priced by adding the total square feet of the extensions to the square feet of the order. The extension square feet is calculated by multiplying the tallest height by the longest width.   The price per square foot remains the same regardless of volume.  If you are in a situation that requires special pricing, please contact your CSR direct or to discuss options.

Posterflex Pricing is based on a flat rate program using the standard Lamar retro size of 10’5” x 22’8”.  At this time, volume pricing is not available.  If you require a special size, please contact your CSR to see if this is an option and to discuss pricing.

Standard Turnaround

Hard Proof:  Provided your order and "workable" artwork are received by noon on a given day, your proof should ship the next business day via UPS overnight priority air (delivery by 10:00am). Requirements for "workable" art are given in detail in the prepress section of the LG website.

Online Proof:  Order requests with workable artwork received by noon CST are processed and online for approval by end of day.

High Resolution Vinyl:  Orders are scheduled to print the day after proof approval is received and scheduled to ship the following day.  Oversize boards larger than 14 x 48 require additional finishing time and usually ship 2 days after printing.

Posterflex:  Orders are scheduled to print the day after proof approval is received and are scheduled to ship 2 business days after printing.

Rush Orders
We are here to meet and service the needs of all our customers.  As such, we can and will accommodate "rush orders" at no extra production charge when possible. (Customer pays for expedited shipping)

Bleed to (Bottom) Edge
It has been our standard practice for several years to print ALL billboards with a bleed to the bottom edge of the board. This makes for a better-looking board for those structures that cannot accommodate a bottom wrap and will not affect those that can.

Prepress & Proof Charges
Standard prepress services are those services required to take a production ready file and convert it to a format compatible with our large format printers.  For specific requirements on production ready art, please view the LG art specs section of the website.

One hard proof measuring 2 3/4” x 9 3/4” is included in the square foot rate.  Larger proofs may incur an additional charge.  Of course, any reproof resulting from a Lamar Graphics mistake will be performed at no charge.

Additional Prepress Charges:
Incomplete or Inadequate artwork - $55.00 CAP art charge
Online Reproof due to customer changes - $25.00 per reproof
Hard copy reproof due to customer changes - $35.00 per reproof

You will be contacted prior to proceeding with your job should we determine that any of the above charges would be incurred.

Color Specifications:
When colors are not specified on either the hard copy or the electronic file, color settings from the original electronic artwork will be reproduced and are reflected in the proof as is.

Reorders:
Your artwork is automatically archived (backed up) and stored by order number for up to 14 months in the event you would like to re-order the job in the future. Please reference previous order numbers when requesting reprints. Due to storage limitations, orders older that 14 months will require new artwork to be sent.

Method of Shipment
Billboards: Our standard shipment method is UPS ground (aka commercial) service. Depending on your location this will require 1 to 3 days in transit.

Proofs: Our standard shipment method for proofs is UPS next day air priority (delivery by 10:00am).

Warranty
All vinyls are guaranteed for one (1) year against fading in excess of 15%. ALL vinyls should match within 90% of the approved proof upon delivery. This is approximately one color shade on the PMS color chart. Vinyls are also guaranteed for one (1) year against any material defects or failures.  One year is defined as 365 days from the print date of the defective board.

All Posterflex are guaranteed for 60 days against any material defects or failures as well as image fading in excess of 10%.  Warranty dates are define as 60 days from the print date of the defective board.
